Partner Organizations

ANA is not alone in the Nurse Competence on Aging Initiative – as almost every nursing specialty will be impacted by the large increase in older Americans. This is why collaborating with other nursing organizations is crucial to meeting the challenges of caring for an aging population.

Together, ANA and its Partner Organizations - also called SNAPGs (Specialty Nursing Association Partners in Geriatrics) - seek to improve the quality of health care older adults receive by enhancing the geriatric competence - the knowledge, skills and attitudes - of the 400,000 nurses who are professionally identified as members of approximately 57 specialty nursing associations.

The organizations listed below are helping ANA strive to enhance and improve the many facets of geriatric nursing.
