- Published a monograph for cardiovascular health entitled, Risk Reduction in the Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease in Women: Lifestyle and Medication Management
- Incorporate journal articles on the care of women over age 65 into AWHONN publications

- Create an association advisory panel/task force to promote a geriatric agenda within women’s health

- Developed evidence-based guidelines on various topics for nurses to use in order to standardize practice using a scientific basis, with demonstrated improvement in patient outcomes
- Developed several educational products in partnership with others for nurses (e.g. osteoporosis) through support from pharmaceutical companies
- Developed a geriatric page on the AWHONN Web site entitled "Practice Resources for the Care of Women Over 65"
- AWHONN will promote dual-certification in gerontological nursing through the AWHONN Web site and the Lifelines publication through a public service ad
