American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA)
Overview of ANA-SNAPG Activities
A survey of AHNA’s members identified education in geriatric care as a top need of nurses who work with the elderly. In order to prepare holistic nurses with the knowledge and skills needed to care for older adults, the AHNA became a partner of the ANA-SNAPG program, the American Nurses Association - Specialty Nursing Association Partners in Geriatrics. AHNA’s involvement in the program has included the development of special geriatric care modules for continuing nursing education as well as the addition of "GeroFocus" to the AHNA Web site.
