- Development of clinical practice guideline series on areas that are vital to WOCN's practice. Three of the four guidelines have been released (the guideline for management of patients with lower-extremity arterial disease; the guideline for prevention and management of pressure ulcers; and the guidelines for management of wounds in patients with lower-extremity neuropathic disease)
- Enhance geriatric presence/educational learning opportunities on association Web site
- Promote dual-certification in gerontological nursing
- Develop competencies around care of older adults
