Publication and Position Statements
- A position paper outlining the principles for creating elder friendly environments will be published in 2005 in AONE's Nurse Leader and Voice of Nursing Leadership publications.
Presentations, Workshops, and Seminars
- Sponsored a full-day Day of Dialogue meeting for a representative group from AONE and the Hartford Institute to explore areas for future collaboration on issues related to care of the elderly.
Special Interest Groups
- Created a geriatric special interest group. Established a list serve for members to discuss issues and disseminate information related to care of the elderly.
- A Day of Dialogue meeting of the geriatric special interest group will occur fall of 2005. This group will discuss and plan how to implement the Principles developed from the Day of Dialogue in 2004.
