Geriatric Activities
The Association of Nurses in AIDS Care (ANAC) has dedicated its What's New page to serve as a clearinghouse of geriatric healthcare information, much having been provided by ConsultGeriRn.org. ANAC's members' only section has a dedicated section for ANAC members only who may freely discuss issues related to theirvaging HIV/AIDS patients as HIV in the aging population is an often undiagnosed and/or under treated phenomenon. While ANAC's members' only section is currently undergoing updates and is inaccessible, ANAC will have a new, updated members' only forum available in the next few months.
ANAC dedicated a four-part series to HIV and Aging. At its annual conference in 2005, ANAC put on a half-day pre-conference on HIV and Aging that was well attended.
