Publications and Position Statements
- SVN encourages manuscripts on geriatric related issues to be submitted to the Journal of Vascular Nursing (JVN)
Presentations, Workshops, and Seminars
- The SVN National Convention in 2005 featured a presentation "Caring for the Elderly: Changing Perceptions and Attitudes"
- SVN will include geriatric-focused presentations at the SVN annual conventions
- SVN has continued to collaborate with the Vascular Disease Foundation to promote increased education among healthcare providers on vascular diseases
- SVN is actively involved in the PAD coalition whose mission is to educate the public on PAD, the incidence of which increases with age
- SVN includes geriatric assessment in an SVN-sponsored ABI pre-convention workshop
Special Interest Groups
- SVN geriatric task force is dedicated to the geriatric population
