Publications and Position Statements
- Published the Hartford Institute "Try This: Best Practices in Nursing Care to Older Adults" series in Viewpoint, the association's membership newsletter
- Published a piece about ConsultGeriRn.org in two issues of Viewpoint
- Geriatric competencies for ambulatory care will be included in an upcoming AAACN competency document
Presentations, Workshops, and Seminars
- Offered two "Train the Trainer" sessions at the 2004 annual AAACN conference
- Offered concurrent sessions on geriatric topics at previous AAACN conferences
Special Interest Groups
- Assessed member interest in establishing a geriatric special interest group
Education Modules, Programs, and Learning Tools
- Developed an educational module to disseminate information addressing aging competencies for ambulatory care. The module information was taught in two "Train the Trainer" conference sessions and distributed in CD-ROM format.
