National Citizens Coalition for Nursing Home Reform (NCCNHR)

Organized in 1975, NCCNHR is dedicated to improving the quality of life for nursing home and boarding home residents and ensuring a consumer voice in the long-term care system. The organization's members include national, state, and local groups. NCCNHR's information clearinghouse is available to concerned families, citizens, groups, and professionals working in long-term care. NCCNHR analyzes legislative and regulatory developments to assist consumers in responding to proposed changes. Education and advocacy training is available for advocates and ombudsmen nationwide. NCCNHR also coordinates the National Long Term Care Ombudsman Resource Center.
